Lubha Raj Neupane Executive Director, Kathmandu

Lubha Raj Neupane looks over the strategic oversight of the Rural Oriented Youth Movement Nepal (ROYM Nepal). He is a leading development practitioner with proficiency in a right-based approach, especially focusing on human rights, climate justice, decent work, and sustainable development. He has served as Executive Director and held leading positions for more than half a decade in very reputed organizations, i.e., WOREC, Nepal GoodWeave Foundation, Disaster Preparedness Network Nepal (DPNet Nepal), and Humanitarian Trust for Children Nepal (HTC Nepal). With extensive leadership experience spanning more than 20 years in the development sector, Mr. Neupane is seasoned in developing sustainability standards and community-based climate justice action and has technical expertise in applying sustainability standards to those initiatives.
He holds dual master’s degrees in rural development and sociology/anthropology from Tribhuwan University in Nepal. Likewise, he is equally active in carrying out applied research and providing technical and advisory support in the development field.
