About Us
Rural Oriented Youth Movement Nepal (ROYM Nepal) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization established in 2009 with the aim of reducing poverty through skill transformation and youth engagement to achieve national development goals.
ROYM Nepal, established in 2009, is a non profit, non-governmental organization committed to reducing poverty through skill transformation and youth engagement. Our vision is to achieve long-term sustainable development goals in Nepal, addressing critical issues such as poverty, hunger, health, education, climate change, gender equality, water, sanitation, energy, urbanization, and social justice.
Our Approach
Community Development and Socio-Economic Programs:
We promote skill development, self-employment, and job incubation. Our focus is on creating jobs rather than just seeking employment in agriculture, particularly in rural areas where youth unemployment is a pressing concern.
Integrated Commercial Farming:
ROYM Nepal runs programs centered around integrated commercial farming. We collaborate with local communities, emphasizing cooperative lease farming with a value chain approach.
Collaboration and Linkages:
We work closely with governmental and non-governmental organizations. Our efforts support village and town development, bridging the gap between rural and urban areas.
Microfinance Services and Recovery Efforts:
We provide guidelines for microfinance services, including savings, community development, and rural initiatives. Our organization coordinates loan recovery efforts.
Research, Training, and Consultancy:
ROYM Nepal conducts studies, research, and surveys related to project establishment and evaluation. We offer training, consultancy, and information program.
Promoting Dialogue and Learning:
We organize meetings, conferences, workshops, and maintain libraries. Our goal is to contribute to both rural and urban development.
